The Socom 2 Silencer is made entirely of solid aluminum and equipped with a quick-change device. Because of this, to remove the silencer, only the rear lever needs to be pushed and held. Then only the Silencer has to be turned all the way to the stop and it can be removed from the Flash Hider. This feature allows the Silencer to be quickly mounted or removed.
The approximately 132 mm long SD made of solid aluminum, the rear lever is made of steel. Also made of steel is the additionally included Flash Hider. This comes in the so-called 4P design and can be mounted by the 14mm left-hand thread on many rifles.
